FAMILY CAMP

Beautiful beachfront location, amazing staff sharing Jesus with your kids, and memories to last a lifetime!
For over 50 years, families have come to Campus by the Sea for a one-of-a-kind vacation on Catalina Island—a rare opportunity to step away from daily distractions and grow together in faith while sharing unforgettable family adventures. Our private cove has something for every age—whether your children are toddlers, teens, or college students. Where else can you snorkel, fish, kayak, sit by a baby pool, and enjoy delectable ice cream bars just steps from your beach chair? And with a full range of life vests for infants, youth, and adults, everyone can dive into the fun with confidence.

Our Christ-centered program weaves worship, teaching, and intentional faith development into daily camp life, giving families space to connect with God and with one another while having a blast! Here, families cultivate a rhythm of intentional faith and fun, creating lasting memories that draw them back year after year. Faith grow.s Fun is had. Memories are made. And lives are changed!

The Unshakeable Family

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

Rod and Heather Fletcher are excited to be your hosts for Family Camp. Rod is the Executive Director of Campus by the Sea and has a lifelong history here at camp. Our Family Camp program has been foundational in Rod and Heather’s marriage and parenting journey as they intentionally raised three boys to follow Jesus.

Rod and Heather can’t wait to engage with you and help connect you with other families so you can share life together. Their prayer is that you leave camp encouraged as parents, strengthened as a family, and inspired to keep pursuing God’s heart together.

SPEAKERS

Our hand-picked speakers will open God’s Word and share from their own journeys as pastors, parents, and spouses. Their desire is to deepen your understanding of who God is and to encourage you with practical ways to live out His truth in your daily life.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our 6-day, 5-night Family Camp includes lodging, meals on our ocean view veranda, kids’ program, fun activities, unique recreation opportunities, and the chartered ferry to our private cove. We offer age-based programs and activities for kids from infants to college age, as well as speakers and small groups for adults. For families with young children, we offer childcare opportunities throughout the week in addition to the morning kids’ program. Our desire is that this will be a vacation where you play together, grow together and experience Jesus in unexpected ways as you build a family legacy of lasting faith. Campus by the Sea is a place to come away, meet God, and be renewed.

Make it stand out.

MID WEEK OPEN DAY

Mid-week, you have the opportunity to hike or boat into Catalina’s iconic town of Avalon, a charming Mediterranean-style town with restaurants, shops, and a beach town vibe that is unmatched on the West Coast.

There are great food and ice cream options and opportunities to parasail, mini golf, or rent a golf cart to explore the town and unique aspects of the island.

Families with young kids may find it easier to stay in camp and use the complimentary two hours of childcare so that you and your spouse can snorkel, kayak, hike, or take a nap without stress or interruption.

“The best part of Family Camp is the facilitation of the family as a whole from the youth to the adults. Family Camp was everything we were looking for, and we wish we found it sooner!”

- Tony Aguilar

“I love not having to be the fun maker! I love that I don’t have to think, cook, clean, or plan, and kids get to actually be kids here!”

-Hallie Cooper
