HISTORY TIMELINE

1951

In 1951, a key group of ministry leaders discovered Gallagher’s Cove on the leeward side of the island after initiating their search for a cove to hold Christian InterVarsity college student gatherings. Mel Friesen became the first camp director in 1955.

1956

Paul Buyer became the new camp director and Bob Mannes became the first Facilites Manager until 1968.

1968

The CBS Committee formed.
