General Information

Campus by the Sea serves as a retreat destination and rental facility for scores of churches, Christian schools and Christian ministries who host their youth, adult and family conferences. Additionally, CBS provides summer programs that include our popular family campssummer youth camps and other specialty conferences.

We also annually host nearly 2,000 InterVarsity college age students from over 40 secular campuses in the Western United States from throughout California to Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Idaho and even Texas. Students gather at camp for weekend or weeklong conferences to grow in their discipleship in Christ by studying God’s word and deepening their prayer life.

Campus by the Sea leases its property from the Catalina Island Conservancy, an organization that holds 88% of the island's land in trust, preserving its natural beauty. The Cove’s unique, wild, remote setting is also a perfect outdoor classroom. We host hundreds of grade school students each year, partnering with organizations that provide outdoor and marine education while exploring the island’s ecology and promoting conservation.
